The House on Cedarbrush got an Offer!! YEAH! The lady was planning to close in February, but when our real estate agent (who showed her the house) told her our story, she agreed that she could close in January!! God is Awesome!! They will still have to do the offering back and forth, but we should know something early next week!
Haven't heard anything back on the VISA's yet, but I think it will be soon. Started looking at Airline Tickets yesterday... That's humbling!! We also let our Jobs know of our "Official" dates of resignation. I'm quiting on the 19th of January, because I need to figure out what all this teaching stuff is about!! :) And Chris is sticking with his Feb 2nd date. Time is closing in..........

Merry "Choc-y Milk" Christmas!

Caleb got what was on his list! Chocolate Milk and an Airplane! Can you beat that?? Don't ya love his "Chock-y Milk" smile?! He also got a Cowboy Outfit! He LOVED it!!
We had a Great Christmas!

We got to see little Madison get a new puppy! The puppy's name is Titlest, after the golf ball, too cute!!
Brooklyn and Caleb had a blast together too. They crawled up in the chair together while no one was looking and were playing Barbies... SO CUTE!

Of Course, very humbling to realize that we may or may not be home next Christmas. I made some FANTASTIC Cornbread Dressing and ham for Christmas Dinner... That we had on a Card Table with Folding Chairs! :) But it was fun anyway! We laugh at ourselves all the time about the stuff that's now gone. We really haven't missed it nearly the way we had thought that we would! We haven't watched regular TV programming in almost 4 weeks, and haven't miss a thing. I was going to break my House and Grey's Anatomy habits before we got to Brazil, so we cancelled the Direct TV before Thanksgiving. Haven't missed it a bit!! Wish I could say that we've read more books, but we've stayed really busy. The time will come.
Hope you and your had a Very Merry Christmas! Have a Big "Chock-y" Milk for us!!

Moo, Moo, Baby Jesus We love you!

Caleb's Christmas program was today!! It was so cute!!! Susan, Anita, and Rachel all came. Wanda was so upset that she had to work!! They were dressed like little Angles, with Gold Halos. Caleb did so good with his little hand motions. He really like the song that had the Cow, Donkey, and Sheep singing "Baby Jesus we love you!" SO CUTE!!!
Ok Parents... Ready?? Caleb's Christmas list: Chocolate Milk!! When we asked about a toy that he would want, he said an "PlaPlane" (Airplane). CAN YOU BEAT THAT?? We told him as a treat, we'd throw in a STRAW!! :) :) I'm cherishing it as long as I can, because soon it will be a PlayStation 3 or something expensive.
He's getting so big too. We bought some 2T Blue jeans (he's 3 1/2) in September that have the adjustable waist, because he's so skinny. We used to have to roll them up... not any more!! He's now fitting them perfectly! He'll be in 3T's before summer probably. We just thank the Lord he got 2 years of wear out of his 18 month clothes!! :) And he can still wear some of the 12 month shorts because the length doesn't matter. Hopefully we'll be set with being able to wear shorts all the time in Brazil.
Brasilia Temperature: High 79 Low 65. Ahhhhh.... ;)

More Great News!!!
Another Great Week!! And Another Great Confirmation!! We sent our Visa Packet off on 11/29. (The Majority of Visa's are taking about 8 weeks to get back from Brazil with some that take quite a bit longer!) It went to the Brazilian Consulate in Miami, where we thought it would sit for about 6 weeks while they asked for more documents and piddled around with procedures... We were praying for a smooth process as Scott and Daniel (From BIS) had worked so hard on getting more thorough documentation of the process to help the consulate out. We got an email from Daniel that Miami thought our Papers WERE PERFECT!! In fact, the most complete set they had seen in a VERY LONG TIME!! They were sending off the papers to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brasilia on Friday 12/15!! We are the first from Brasilia to have NEVER had to send any further documentation!! Now, it still has to be processed by the consulate in Brasilia, but usually this process doesn't get hung up. But of course, the holidays are coming... so we are hoping to have them in January!! Praise the Lord!!
Another Great thing is that after 5 Unfruitful Visits to the Social Security office to get Caleb a SSN... We Are Finally Getting One!!! He's been home 2 years now... and we FINALLY are getting one! YEAH!
Another Great thing is that we are meeting my friend from college to sell her my car! I did have a little moment of prayer as I sat in it, after Chris had worked all afternoon cleaning and detailing (yes, we have a 3 year old... It was NASTY!) and felt a little sad. God and I had a little chat about how He would provide for so many greater things for us later, but that we had work to do now. I really like that car... It's not easy, but necessary. God's got a "Mission" for us now. (Now hum your best Mission Impossible Theme Song) And we've Chosen to Accept it...
Prayer Requests:
~Della got Declawed yesterday, she's doing ok, and sleeping a lot, but they are sore.
~House Selling! ~Pray for house on CedarBrush to sell, so they can close our house. We are planned to close on 1/5/07, but may have to re-write the contract, if we do that we'll have to allow it to be shown again.
~Preparation, Preparation, Preparation - Unfortunately due to the business of December, we haven't had a lot of extra time to focus and prepare, both for language training and new job training.
~Jon and Rachael Isbell (and Kierra and Reagan) as they are spending their first Christmas away from home, as they serve with NICS in Rio de Janeiro.
~Our Families, as they begin to prepare for our departure, please pray for peace. This is to include our Home Group Family.
~Support! We are feeling the pinch to get our support in! As time is closing in! We are looking at around 6 weeks before we leave!!!
~Happy Birthdays this week to some of our friends and family: Trevor (turned 2), Rachel (turned 1), and Chuck (turned 36).
Brasilia forecast: High 80, Low 64 95% Chance of Rain (this is Rainy Season - they average 6.7 inches a month - About 0.25 inches a day)
Love you guys so much! So Glad that you are on this journey with us!!! Please post a comment!

Another Great Week!
We've had another Great week!! Chris told his boss, and he was very supportive. Once again, we worried... God HAD IT... and God SHOWED OUT! I also told all of my co-workers this week. It was an emotionally draining day, but it was filled with very sweet sentiments!
We got to meet with Scott, our administrator this week! That was really awesome! We got to hear more about the school, and he brought some snacks and drinks from Brazil. We also got last years annual. So awesome to look at all of those international students that we will be serving in Brasilia. We also found out that 95% of the students at the school are kids of the Embassy!! Their Governments pay for their tuition... and it's a CHRISTIAN SCHOOL! Tell me that isn't God Showing Out!! There are 22 countries represented. Many from Africa, Middle East, and Asia. What an awesome international community! We will personally be able to touch the lives of these kids that may very well be RUNNING their Countries one day! That's KINGDOM work with BIG WORLD CHANGING Potential!! But isn't it always!! ;)
We have also been SO GRACIOUSLY BLESSED by some families that are willing to adopt our little furry babies!!! That is a huge Answer of Prayer and brings a Huge Peace.
We are starting to focus in on our Support Raising. Very humbling that we got our NICS Statement yesterday and have a big Goose Egg! Don't be surprised if you start getting letters, emails, phone calls, and PLEADING! :) By the Way...

** HOUSE IS SOLD!!! - We have a contract with a couple contingent on the sale of their home... so if anybody's looking in Southaven... let us know!! We'll hook you up with them!! :) We plan to Close on Jan 5th if all goes well... and yet again... We know it's in His Hands... and we'll get out when He's ready for it!!
** TOLD MY WORK!!! - I was very nervous about it... But as God would Have it... IT WENT GREAT!! My Boss (who is a Christian) was actually on the Excited side about what God was doing and that we were being obedient to the call. And then she prayed with me! How Awesome is that!! Chris is going to tell his work this weekend.
Our Timeline (subject to change!! :) :) is to close on the house in early January. Move in with some loving Gracious people who are ready for a 3 year old to turn their lives upside-down!. And Head to Brasilia, Brazil in early February when the Visa's come through. They would like us there sooner, but we'll leave that up to the Lord.
Other Awesome Praises:
* We get to speak at Church on Sunday! Both Services!
* We had a GREAT Thanksgiving in Arkansas.
* We are in the process of applying for support through my parents/my home church also. They are eager and excited to hear about what we are doing.
* We've sold a lot of our things... we have no living room furniture, and most everything is gone.
Big Prayer Requests:
~ We need to find Good, Loving homes for Della and Sampson. We need people that are willing to Adopt our babies.
~ We need prayer for Chris, as he tells his work.
~ We need to sell our Cars! If anybody is interested in a 2003 Ford Taurus or 2002 Mazda Tribute, please let us know!!
~ We need disgretion as to our packing situation... as habitual OVERPACKERS... we have to get into 6 suitcases. We need prayer about evaluating what to take and what to leave.
~ Please pray for Brasilia International School and Scott Bose as they are preparing for Christmas programs, semester tests, and Christmas break. Please pray for the students to learn and share the "Christmas Story" all over Brazil!
~ Please pray for our Support Raising.
God is so Good and we are So NOT WORTHY! But that's the awesome picture of Grace!!
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Cor 9:8.

Happy Turkey Day!

Hey!! We hope everyone had a Super Turkey Day! We did! We spent the holiday in Arkansas with our folks. Had a great time watching Brooklyn and Caleb Play! They had a ball!!
We got some good news today about the Visa process. It seems that we aren't as far behind as we had though when we received our papers from Brazil last week. We are still waiting on the Legalized papers we sent off 3 weeks ago, but we also need my teaching certificate. So all is well. We anticipate being able to send them off THIS WEEK!! WOW!! We also had some people look at the house, kinda funny... they were driving by, and I talked to them out at the mailbox, and let them in to see it. We then got a call 20 minutes later for a Showing appt tomorrow, must be the same people. Too Cool!!
Please pray for us as we plan to tell our employers this week! Pray that all will go Smoothly and that they will understand our hearts! We respect and love our employers deeply, and pray that it will go well. We will also be speaking in church on Sunday at both services!!
We have sold down most of the stuff in the house!! We are still in prayer about the animals and the cars. Please pray with us. Our animals (Della, Cat; and Sampson, Dog) have been with us for 9 years. This will not be easy for us.
Thanks again for all your prayers and support! We thank you so much!!

More Than Enough!
Hey guys!! We are still waiting for the VISA to go out! We have not received our legalized paper back. Last time it only took them 4 days to get it back, and now it's been 8. We are also waiting on all of Scott's Papers to come up from Brazil. We're cool though! Yesterday was not so hot for me - a little under the weather, and a little "Pouty!" But Today has been great! We sang "More than Enough" tonight... And how true is that!
All of You, is more than enough for All of me... For every hunger, Every Need. You Satisfy Me... WITH YOUR LOVE!
I KNOW that God will orchestrate this whole thing like a SYMPHONY! Not like the CLANGING Cymbal that I would turn this into! Just like during my Battle with Cancer... God Orchestrated everything so perfectly! So Uniquely! For instance... (if you'll spare me another moment!) If you were going to have Bone Cancer, where would be the best place for it?? A NON-Weight Bearing, Non-Dominant Arm... YEP! That's me, My Left Humerus (arm)! If you were going to have Bone Cancer, when would be the best time?? How about BEFORE KIDS, Before MAJOR Careers, After Marriage. YEP! How about WHO to take care of you?? Well, My Mom had just quit teaching school the year before I got Sick. If she had still been teaching she wouldn't have been able to come down and stay with me in the Hospital and Be THE HUGE Source of Strength in our time of need - For BOTH me and Chris!! AND... LITERALLY the EVENING we came back to our apartment in Houston after they told me it was my LAST chemo (because of kidney damage), My Grandmother became ill, and Mom had to go tend to her! And did so for the next 6 years. If we had both been sick at the same time, Mom would have been torn as to where she needed to be! So many other instances... Like How AWESOME Kroger was to Chris, and found him the SAME Job in Houston 0.9 miles from where we were staying! And how Kroger paid for us to move back to Little Rock after treatments were over, and found Chris just the right spot there as well! And How about how I then became an Oncology Nurse for the next 6 years and was able to "Comfort as I had been Comforted"! That's only GOD SIZED STUFF THERE, BOYS!! Never mind that my first treatment plan in Jackson, MS was to AMPUTATE my arm, and our "second opinion" took me to MD Anderson in Houston where I saw the CHAIRMEN of the Sarcoma department! Oh... and let's not forget that "just SO happened" that I have a cousin and his wife that lived in Houston, and they took us ALL (Chris, myself, DELLA (cat), and SAMPSON (dog)) in and let us live with them, and were a great source of Support between all the rounds of chemo. We've lived through SEVERAL GOD-SIZED Stories!! You'll have to wait for the GOD-SIZED CALEB story!! That will be another post!! :)
All of that to say... GOD IS GREAT! His WAY is BEST... not just "good enough" or "this will do!" BUT BEST! PERFECT! AWESOME! AND SO MUCH MORE THAN ENOUGH!

Support Needed!
Hey Guys!! Another issue was have at hand is that our positions at BIS will not have a salary at all. We will be supported by NICS through your contributions. This is a big prayer point for us! Because of tax reasons, all donations will be given straight to NICS, and will just have our "project number" on them. This is great for you, because it's TAX DEDUCTIBLE!! If you feel God leading you to support us, you can go onto the NICS website and click under "Investing Oppurtunities" and there is a place to give securely online. Please select that you are giving for "Missionary Project" and in the comments put our Project Number: 001909. If you want to participate the OLD FASHIONED WAY... Write a check out to NICS, and in the comments put our Project Number: 001909 (NOT OUR NAMES!). Please mail to:
NICS
PO BOX 1260
Southaven, MS 38671
If you'd like to call NICS or have any questions at all, you can reach them at 1-800-877-6427. Our project number is a combination of the days that Chris and I were born on! Isn't that too cool! Mine's the 19th, his is the 9th.
We are truely Grateful for any support that you may be able to send, but we want and need your prayers even more!! We would like for you to support us and be a part of what God is doing in Brasilia... but ONLY if HE is leading you that way!! We go as Ordinary People Serving an Extraordinary God! And HE is going to do some AWESOME things in Brasilia, and we want YOU TO HAVE A PART!!
Thank you so much, from the Bottom of our Hearts! You are so Incredibly Dear to us!
Thank you for your LOVE, SUPPORT, and PRAYERS!!

Legalized Documents!
We got our Legalized Documents back! That went really fast! We will now wait on Paperwork from BIS (Brasilia International School) to put with those documents to go back to Miami for the Visa process to start.
We are still waiting for the house to sell. We've had several showings, but no offers yet. We have another one tomorrow, and probably some more this weekend. Please pray on that front! Once the house sells, we'll be in a flurry about all the other issues. Please also pray that we'll find a sweet loving home for one sweet (when she wants to be), loving (when she wants to be), playful (when she wants to be), and Fiesty (when she wants to be) little kitty! She probably will not do well with other animals (other than Sampson) and probably won't do well with little kids that want to hug her, squeeze her, and call her George! Caleb learned quickly! :)
Thanks for all your support and prayers! We love you guys!

Visa Part #1
I Got to go and visit the NICS office today! I got to meet all the great people in that office! What a heart for God they have!! We've now gotten started on our Visa Process, Step #1! We have to send off Notorized Copies of all our documents to go to Miami for Legalization for Brazil. They'll send them back, and then we'll send them right back to Miami with the actual Visa Application for the Brazilian Consulate to Approve. All in All, we think this process will take a couple of months, at best! So, we'll just prayfully wait... the same way we did for all of Caleb's Paperwork... Except Hopefully not as much Nail Biting!! :) :)
God's Plan 2007!!
The best place to start is always at the beginning!!... This story of our lives begins in January 2006. In January, God began to do some amazing things in the Fryar home. God began to work in ways that we had never experienced before. We moved to a whole new level in our walks with Christ. Over the next few months, God began to speak to us about simplifing our lives. About returning to what is really important. I John 2:15-17 says: Do Not Love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from This world. And This world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But Anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.
We were also faced with a possible move. We began to discuss 'Were we finally going to be able to put down roots in Southaven, where we had a church family that we love dearly, and a great community?' Or 'Did God CREATE us to move around every 2-3 years as we have done in the past 10 years of our marriage?' As part of the simplification process God began to let us consider changing careers, and possibly doing church work, or home schooling, or something of that nature. After about 6 months of our prayerfully considering our options...
GOD HIT US SMACK DAB OVER OUR HEADS!!
As we sat peacefully in our pews on Wednesday night, July 12th, 2006. After a Great time of Music and Teaching... A young couple got up to share about going to Brazil. We had seen them before, and knew they were going. But to hear them share about How God had moved them to Sell Everything and Move to Brazil with NICS to teach in a school there... God began to unfold a Very Beautiful Picture. Chris and I both got STUCK in our seats... Teared up a little... We both sat with our Jaws open, and said 'They're just ORDINARY PEOPLE!!' But they were Called by an EXTRODINARY GOD! We began to pray about this... desperately trying to decipher what in the world was going on. It was the CALL OF GOD! He Bent Down out of Heaven and touched our shoulders, and simply said 'GO!!'
Chris and I had such an ENORMOUS PEACE about the whole thing. Selling everything and leaving with 8 Duffle Bags didn't scare us in the least. COMPLETELY Changing our Careers - for me from NURSE to TEACHER, and for Chris from BIG Corporate Retail Merchanding to Small School Business Management. Completely Different... but if you know us... NOT TOO FAR FETCHED!! :) We had no idea WHERE God would send us, no idea HOW God would send us, no idea WHEN God would send us, no idea of anything... but with BOLDNESS and DETERMINATION we set the spokes turning towards the 'GO'.
NICS is the Network of International Christian Schools. It is based out of Southaven! (Check out the link to the website) They have 19 Schools all over the world. We did not care AT ALL where God was going to send us. We told them we had NO Preference.
We had a MASSIVE Yard Sale in August, and sold so much stuff. We put our house on the market on September 1st... ALL BEFORE we knew we even had a job! We had such an amazing peace about being in the middle of the Will of God! My heart was always that we would have a school that CHRIS would have a place of leadership, and an important job. He even said on his application that he would be 'A Janitor for Jesus.' But I wanted him to remain as the God Ordained 'Head of Household.'
So... HERE WE ARE... We are HIRED as the Business Manager/Accountant (Chris) and Science Teacher (Beverly) for a small school in Brasilia, Brazil. The Administrator of the school is an awesome guy who has been there for 7 years, and loves it! They are about to purchase and move into a new school, and that is why they need us ASAP!! We are hoping to be in Brazil in January... All Depending on the VISA process.
Please pray for us over the upcoming months, and we will keep you posted on everything going on with us!!
SO MUCH LOVE,
Beverly
