FROM CHRIS!!!

I recently had the awesome opportunity to go on a field trip with the 3-6th grade to visit our local Creche. The Creche is a type of free day care service that is offered to families that are extremely poor but must work to survive. They drop their kids off at the Creche which is supported only by donations with no government assistance. If the kids did not have this place to come to, they would just be out on the street. Our school & our church support this particular Creche. It is run by a man that was a street kid himself! Twice each year all grades go and play with the kids and just love on them. God really spoke to my heart as I spent some time just playing and loving on these children. They just need love and attention. I would just simply ask their name in Portuguese, tell them Jesus loved them, and ask for a hug. They would smile and just give you one of those big

old "bear hugs" and not want to let go. It really just took my breath away as to the "raw" life that we saw in this area of Brazil. There were over 35 kids packed into one play room and a small play area outside. The Creche itself is no bigger than one single bedroom. Beverly will get a chance to visit with the High School kids next week. Please lift these children up in prayer. I know God is using our school staff and students specifically to love and support the Creche. -Chris

Another Cute Caleb Picture!

Now, I know that some of you guys just come here to see our little Angel Baby... So I don't want to disappoint!!! :) Here's a recent Cute Picture!

Dinner Theatre!

Hey guys!! Well, Dinner Theatre was a Great Success! Thanks for all of you that prayed! I knew that I had 16 acts to put on, and I knew it would be a little crazy... but on Wednesday afternoon when we had all school practice... and I started to see ALL THOSE KIDS COMING... I thought DEAR HEAVEN... WHERE DID THEY ALL COME FROM!!!! Seeing them all together, just about started a panic attack... but all was well... and Thursday night was Great! The parents all came and had a great laugh! All the skits were centered around Bible stories... just told in a new way! Like Moses's 911 Call about the Burning Bush, and about Peter and the Psychologist who thinks he has Delusions of Graduer about Walking on the Water! It was great! The best part, is that God Got the Glory!! We were able to reflect on Him in every way that we could! Thank you again, for praying!

I'm looking forward to a week without Craziness!!! This week is Spirit Week, so everyday we get to Dress up as something Crazy! I love that kind of thing... Yes, I know... You are surprised!! :) Anyway... Things are winding down very quickly and we'll be home for a visit very soon! It will be good to see everybody!

Much Love,
Beverly

Finishing Strong!

Hey Guys! Well we are FULL OUT into the BIG TIME CRUNCH of the end of the year! We have so much going on and so much to do!! But it's Great!! I am in charge of a Dinner Theatre that we are putting on, and it will be done on THURSDAY! To hear that day... strikes me with fear! Ok... not that bad, but it does but a little panic in my step! Please pray that it all comes together well! I'm having the K-6 sing action songs and funny things like that, and the Jr High and Sr High will be doing skits. As of today... I think it will turn out ok! The kids are anxious about learning their lines, and the younger kids all like the songs that they will sing. So we'll see! All the skits and songs are based on the Bible, with the skits being funny spins on known Bible stories! I really think it will be funny... we'll see!! :)

Please also pray that all the staff, finish Strong! A lot are so weary from a year with many shortages. Everyone here has been really stretched! Pray also for the 9 or so NEW STAFF that are coming!! That is so exciting!! And the other awesome thing is that we get to meet them FIRST!! At PFO in June!! YEAH!!!!

Oh... Caleb went to the Dentist last week for the first time! Went really, really good! However, we have several Cavities to get taken care of. He had his first one filled this week, and he did really good! All in All, it will end up costing a good bit, but still cheaper that in the US (now that we have no dental insurance). But God has been Faithful to provide the Provision, BEFORE THE NEED! Isn't HE AWESOME to do that!!! We are so blessed! (and so not worthy!)

Thanks for checking in here, to see what we are up to! I hope to send an email out this weekend! How do you like the new colors??

Much LOVE,
Beverly!

Happy Mother's Day!

I'm so thankful for a day to think about and reflect on MOM's!! How neat and special is it, that I am one, too!! :) I'll never forget this day 3 years ago, when I was doing a Mother's Day skit at Colonial Hills. I remember having that maternity top on, and that fake little belly thing from Goldsmith's... we even took a picture of it, knowing that THAT would be the only time that I would ever be pregnant!

And then the AWESOME JOY of finding out THE VERY NEXT DAY, that CALEB WOULD BE OUR SON!!! I really was pregnant on Mother's Day! Isn't that awesome!! The Lord gave me that Mother's Day to reflect and sober me about Motherhood, and then the next day... I WAS A MOTHER!!! I love the way God does that kind of thing!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you! Both to the Mothers, Grandmother, and Mothers-To-Be, and those who HAVE A MOTHER! Take today to honor and love on Mother's!!

AWESOME RETREAT!!

The Retreat was AWESOME!! We had 28 Teens there! We had all kinds of activities and games and fun... it was a BLAST! We even caught Chickens and had a Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest!! Too Fun!! We also had some very intense Spiritual time! We split up into Small Groups of 5 and 6 and the kids really opened up! It was definitely a GOD THING! God gave us the words to say, and the Holy Spirit really sent the message in deeply! It was a great weekend! We had an awesome Praise team, and a great message by a guest speaker. But we were really able to connect with the kids in small group time! Please continue to pray for these kids as they deal with the Truth that was presented, and they formulate their Defenses to keep their Purity!! Thanks again for praying!!! It made all the Difference!

Much Love,
Beverly

"THE BATTLE" Retreat!

Please pray for the upcoming Retreat that we are having for our Jr high and Sr High Youth Group. We will have a lot of the kids from the school going, some of which DO NOT go to our church!! We will also have a good crew of Brazilians from our Church and some friends that they are inviting!! We are very excited about it!! Our theme is "THE BATTLE," which will specifically focus on Purity. We will have a guest speaker, a praise team, and small groups. Please pray for us, Laura, Pastor Winston, and Daniel and his wife, as we prepare and Lead the Retreat! It will be this weekend May 4th-6th at a Church Camp about 45 minutes or so from the "Bubble" of Brasilia. It will be good to get these kids out of their "Comfort" Zones and in a more Rustic (for these kids) camp. We will be having a BonFire Saturday night, and tons of "Battle" Games. It's going to be so much fun, but we pray that it will also be a Serious time of Reflection, as well. We have several "God and I" times set up, where the kids will be off by themselves to pray and reflect.

Please Pray that these kids will be Broken, and will be able to take a Stand for Christ and for Purity! Our specific prayer is that kids that don't have a personal relationship with Christ, will FIND IT, and that the kids that do know Jesus, will commit to making the NEXT STEP in their Walks! I will be posting tons of pics and news when we get back on Sunday!

Thanks for praying! Thank you for being Prayer Warriors, as we prepare these kids to Put on Their FULL Armour of God, and be able to STAND THEIR GROUND!

Much Love,
Beverly

Hey Guys!! Just a quick note to say "HEY!" Can you believe that it will be just a few short 6 weeks until we'll be in the States visiting! Isn't that GREAT!!! We get so excited from any news from the States! Please also remember to check out my latest picture video "Brazilian Life - Part Dois!" at http://cbcfryar.dotphoto.com We don't send pictures in the emails because we know what it's like to have DIAL UP!! Amazing Sunsets!

I have always been able to see and feel the Peace of God in Nature! Every where I've been it's been something different. Here, I was, at first, in love with the Palm Tree, and still Am. They are simply wonderful! But the SUNSETS ARE MAGNIFICENT!!! They say that the Sunsets for us in Fall and Spring are the best. I've been trying to get outside every day around 6pm to take pics of them, and I'm doing to do a whole slide show on the Sky! The Sunrise's are equally beautiful, but it has been cloudy in the mornings recently. Here are a couple of amazing Sunsets. The Casting Crowns Song "Indescribable" just about paints the picture. He does all this... And Still He Hears Us, Loves Us, and Knows us by name!

Pray for Virginia Tech

Obviously, you guys know about the Virginia Tech Horror. We heard about it down here as well. And the Flags at the US Embassy are flying Half Mast here, too! Laura's family is all from Virginia, and 2 of her brothers graduated there. She still has a cousin that is a Senior. The news she is getting straight from the Campus, is that God is doing a MIGHTY WORK! He is Showing them PEACE, JOY, and FAITH! Praise the Lord, that through trials like this, a Campus, CITY, STATE, and NATION can be impacted! And because of our access to information... A WORLD can be impacted! Please continue to Pray that the seeds planted through this experience will grow and that the Holy Spirit will become INESCAPABLE in their lives!!!

ABOUT TIME!!!

Hey!! I don't get heavy into politics, and this is definitely not the forum for debate... HOWEVER, I was on MSN.com today, and saw some clips of him. He's DOING SO AWESOME! When the interviewers asked him repeated times to degrade or criticize his opponents and the President... HE REFUSED! He simply turned the information back on his actual record, and what HE will do. That's a Refreshing change!!!!! If you guys don't really know who he is, I encourage you to check him out and decide for yourself, what you think! I'm just so REFRESHED and THRILLED that we have a Candidate that isn't mud slinging!! (YET, anyway!) I don't have ALL the details, and of course, without any kind of US Newspaper to follow, there is a lot I don't know!! I just encourage you to check him out yourself!

I LIKE MIKE! FROM BRAZIL!! :)
~Beverly - Signed personally... My views do not necessarily also represent my husband's views! I'll give him time to review!! :)

Staff Bowling

Last weekend all the staff went on a Bowling Outing! We had such a blast! We all acted like a bunch of Goof Balls, and nearly got kicked out! Wouldn't that be a great thing to model for all the kids?!?! It was so great to get together, off campus, and have some "Let your hair down" time! The night ended with a big Wet Willy Fight, and Loud Cheering for the Gutter Balls! It was great to relax and have fun!! Photo #1 is Caleb and Kaylee, having a blast together! Photo #2 is Katie, Me, Laura, and Stacy. Photo #3 is Kaylee, Christie, Daniel, Josh, Caleb, Scott, and Beth. Daniel teaches 3rd and 4th Grade, and Beth teaches music and 2nd grade.
I'll be sending out another post and email soon. The months of April and May will be VERY busy!! But it will make the days past quickly, and then we'll be home in June! Who's up for Mi Pueblo?? or On the Border??
MUCH LOVE! Thanks for all the support!!

Sleepover!

The Sleepover went Great! We had a blast!! We had 5 girls come! We stayed up to like 4 am, and then they all were up at 7am!! We swam from 12:30 to 1:30 AM, and no one wanted to put a swim suit on, so we just swam in our clothes! Crazy!! On Saturday, we went to City Park, which is a fun little amusement park. And for 3 hours rode Roller Coasters, and all those rides that spin you in every possible conceivable circle!! My head is still spinning! By the end, we were hot and tired, so we just rode the Bumper Cars. After a while, we didn't even care if we hit anybody... we just kept driving in circles!! Too Funny!

Here are a couple of pics!!

Much Love,
